Jumia Nigeria, the number one online market place in Nigeria is constantly expanding and thus always looking for new talents to join their team.

Usually, the recruitment processes differs across the different sisters of Jumia Market, Jumia Food or Jumia Travel, there is usually a general recruitment culture at Jumia.

1. You must be a university graduate but yes I have seen several other staff with OND and HND on their team.
2. There is no racial discrimination at Jumia. They have the physically challenged, black, white, Muslims, Christians amongst others.
3. You must be smart. Jumia doesn't usually settle for less so you have to be able to prove your worth.
4. You must be able to speak good English. I think this is in order since the majority of your job is to be dealing with customers or transaction and negotiating deals with sellers since Jumia is a service industry.
5. You must be able to do with "the suit".

Here is what you should know:

Most times, after you have been shortlisted for a vacancy, it is either two stages or three stages as the case may be. Depending on the role you have applied for.
For some its; Test> Interview> Interview
While for others its; Interview> Interview.

Test: This is usually in form of simple English and Maths or sometimes typing skills to determine your speed etc.
Interview: The next stage wins with the HR
Interview: Then with the Managing Director.

The span of their recruitment process is usually very fast. Sometimes it lasts for only two weeks and sometimes it's immediate.
The remuneration is competitive and the best in the industry.
