GTbank Recruitment Stages, Interview and Aptitude


I recall that immediately after graduation I wanted to work with GTbank and this was almost the dream of everyone who graduated along with me in my set. I got an invite but could not honor it because of certain constraint.

I probably also speak the mind of a host of recent graduates who would like to work with them so tag along.

Truthfully, I may not qualify to work with GTbank anymore due to age restrictions but I assure you this is one of the best banks anyone could work with.

Application are in three ways:
1. Through their career page.

3. Through Vic Lawrence last time I checked.
This for me I think is for their contract staff which has no restrictions. Visit Plot 1690B, Buraimoh Kenko street, VI, Lagos on Tuesdays. You may just be lucky.

NOTE: If the emails are bouncing back, sometimes it does, then it's probably because their are too many CVs under processing or there are currently no vacancies.

Gtbank has one of the simplest recruitment process that I know of. Very easy to get a job with them as long as you are very smart. They like smart folks that are neat and ready to solve problems and this is evident in the crop of staff they have. That's one tip.

Recruitment process:

1. After successfully applying and shortlisted, you would be invited for a computer based aptitude test. Test format depends on what you applied for, how you applied and your level of experience.
Usually 50 questions of basic Mathematics and English to be answered in 25 minutes and you may also log on to shldirect to Practice Shl and this should come easy.
If you are sound in Mathematics then their test should be a piece of cake.

2. You would subsequently be invited for a series of interview if you pass the first stage.
# A panel interview.
# A senior HR Personel.
# A senior official like a general manager or director.
Interview process and interviewer depends on what you applied for, how you applied and your level of experience.

3. Documentation where all your credentials would be verified and ascertained to be correct.

4. Then you proceed to training school depending on location. It is that simple.

Salary:
Around NGN200, 000 gross per month.

Likely questions at GTbank interviews:
1. Why do you think we should hire you?
2. What do you see yourself doing in five years?
3. Can you explain briefly what caused the financial market depression in 2008.
4. Why do you want to work with us?.

Anonymous advice from someone who attended the interview:

''The interviews are pretty straight forward. It's a fast paced environment and you need to think on your feet, be smart and confident always. Basically the interviews try to access this. They even tried to put me under pressure to see if I will break. Be confident, polite and firm and you will be fine''.
